Common fouls
False start: an offensive player moves before the snap.
Holding: a player holds or grips an opponent who is not carrying the ball.
Offside: a defensive or offensive player is on the wrong side of the ball when it is snapped.
Pass interference: A defensive player blocks an offensive player who was going to catch a pass.
Face mask: a player illegally grabs a player by his mask.
Delay of game: the offense doesn't start on time.
Clipping: a blocker contains an opponent who isn't the runner from behind and/or above the waist.
Illegal use of hands, arms or body: a player uses his hands, arms or body in an illegal way.
